Colleen Hoover delivers a tour de force novel about a troubled marriage and the one old forgotten promise that might be able to save it.

Quinn and Graham’s perfect love is threatened by their imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair.

All Your Perfects is a profound novel about a damaged couple whose potential future hinges on promises made in the past. This is a heartbreaking page-turner that asks: Can a resounding love with a perfect beginning survive a lifetime between two imperfect people?

Review:

All Your Perfects is beyond emotional. Just read the first chapter and see for yourself. From beginning to end Colleen Hoover delivers an emotional rollercoaster of a story that will slowly but surely tear your heart out.

If you're like me and reading books about marriages is your guilty pleasure then you'll enjoy, All Your Perfects a great deal. Quinn and Graham's story alternates between their past and present and let me tell you, the present is incredibly, painfully heartbreaking. I was glad for the chapters that looked back on the beginning of their relationship if only to give my heart a break from the sadness that envelopes Quinn like a cocoon. The contrast between the whirlwind romance of a new relationship compared to the crumbling marriage Quinn and Graham have was done so well, it was like nothing I've read before.

While books that end in happily-ever-after's are fun to read, I'm sure many of us wonder about what happens next. I always hope that no matter what the couple stays together but with the D-word hanging over Quinn and Graham like a rain cloud about to burst into a storm, you really can't guess. The problem with their marriage is so profound it affects every aspect of their relationship. And while Quinn's words and actions frustrated me at times, her character was flawed and realistic. I think she got under my skin because she was so relatable—who hasn't kept their feelings bottled up under key and lock because they just couldn't open up?

If you've never read a Colleen Hoover book before, you need to read this one. Despite my love for books about relationships, I'm not a big fan of romance novels but this was such an honest and raw portrayal of marriage and the struggles that couples go through that it's definitely a must-read.

This book will probably make you cry.

5/5 stars.

The problem is, love and happiness are not concordant. One can exist without the other.
